Urban Life Wash Park
Magazine Cover & Featured Artist
I sat down to chat about my process and all thing film with Shaleen Destefano of Urban Life Wash Park. My photos graced the cover as well as this featured interview.
“Experimentation is the soul of my process. Film can be pretty reliable after you learn how your tools behave, but there is still always an element of unpredictability. With my double exposures, sometimes I’m seeking symmetry, to shake up stagnation, or to get a different angle when a traditional landscape doesn’t fit. Other times, it happens by accident.”

Fall Photography Tips Contributor
I had the opportunity to share a bit about shooting film in the greatest season of all with my friends over at Artifact Uprising.
Take a road trip, camp if you can. Pull over for everything that catches your eye. Take a new route and explore a new town or trail. I always prefer an unmarked viewpoint to the crowded “must see” hot spots. To me, the beauty of an image has a lot to do with the memory it invokes. Experience first, shoot second. Practice spontaneity and creative freedom.

Travel Editorial for The Journal of Lost Time
Shared some photos and musings about our trip to Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona with the good people at The Journal of Lost Time
“The unplanned, the spontaneous does not happen as much as it used to. Our day-to-day can feel so structured, oppressive even. When we invite the unknown, the adventure of discovery, the results can wake us up. It can rattle the cages of our minds, and show us the world in a way we never could have imagined.”
