Up & Away is a double exposure 14×17 print shot at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico. The overlay “effect” was created on location in camera, plus a little lens magic.
The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta was an incredible joy to witness. Waking well before sunrise was worth it as we watched the flames light up the dark sky. The first balloons went up and the sun followed soon after. We were speechless as hundreds of balloons took off in sequence.
